Changing recipients of EEE Alert emails

EEE is configured to send alert emails to specified email addresses, when certain events occur. Sometimes, when people leave organisations or change roles, it is necessary to change who receives these alert emails.

This needs to be changed in 3 places.

Dataloader alert emails

To change who receives the alert emails from EEE dataloader, do the following:-

  1. Open a command prompt
  2. Change to the folder containing EEE dataloader, which will normally be a sub folder of a EEE folder called dataload.
  3. Type in the command “dloader -configure” and then press ENTER.
  4. In the configuration box will be a field called “Send Alert emails to”. This field needs to be changed to reflect the new email addresses. A semi-colon can be used to separate multiple email addresses.
  5. Press OK when you have finished making the necessary changes.

SQL alert emails

Some alert emails use a SQL operator, and as such the email recipients must be changed using SQL Management Studio.

  1. Log into SQL Management Studio
  2. Expand “SQL Server Agent”
  3. Expand “Operators”
  4. There will be an operator for each EEE database, called database-name_Operator, i.e. EEE_Operator.
  5. Right click on the Operator you wish to change and then click on Properties.
  6. Email addresses will be shown in the “E-mail Name” field. Change these as required and then click OK to save.

EEE database maintenance alert emails

To change EEE database maintenance alert emails, do the following:-

  1. Log into EEE
  2. From the UTILITIES menu select CONFIGURATION and then COMPANY PREFERENCES
  3. There will be a field called “Send database maintenance email messages to the following”. Change the email addresses in this field as required. Use a semi-colon for multiple email addresses
  4. Click on the SAVE button to save the changes.
