EEE Exporter not working
If EEE Exporter is not working or no data is being exported, there are a number of things that can be checked.
- Only one instance of EEE Exporter can be run at the one time for each Company. A common issue is somebody make a RDC to the server and running Export and then leaving the Export program open. This will prevent any scheduled or manual exports from running.
- Check in Task Manager on the server for the process export.exe. If there is a process called export.exe, and no scheduled exports are currently running, and nobody is running a manual export, then the export process may have hung. Killing the process will allow exports to run again. Note – This should not normally happen, and if it occurs regularly, contact Magenta Retail for further assistance.
- If data is not being exported to a specific branch, ensure that that branch doesn't have the option “Exclude this branch from data exports” ticked. When this option is ticked, no data will be exported to the store.
- If manual data exports are working, but scheduled exports aren't working, then there is likely to be a problem with the Windows Scheduled Task. Check that the password is correct, and if running Windows 2008, ensure that the option to only run this task when logged in (default) is not ticked, otherwise the task won't start unless the user is logged into the computer.
- The EEE Exporter creates a log when it is running. If you believe that data is not being exported, check this log for any error messages that maybe stopping data being exported.
