| When any files are replaced that contain transactions ebing sent from tills to server, backups should always be retained and reports and bank balancing carefully checked to determine if any data loss has occured. In the event of data loss, contact Magenta Retail for advice. It is highly recommended that Magenta Retail is contacted for advice prior to replacing any files. | ||||
| RRBB | Messages being sent upstream by store server. | If this is replaced and the original is NOT empty (not 674 bytes), any sales in this file will be lost. | ||
| RRBBTT | Contains messages destined for server written by downstream tills | Yes if the file is empty. The size is 674 bytes when empty. | The file <rrbbtt> contains transactions and other messages from the tills. If necessary, the
file could be backed up and replaced, but transactions in the file would be lost. The server should detect the missing messages and request the till to resend them, and the till uses local\rrbbttb.dbf to perform the resend. Replacing should not be undertaken lightly and it is highly advisable that backups are taken before replacing files. | |
